Elaine - 25% to 30% reduction in the pain
When I first came to see Dr. Winget, I was experiencing unbearable pain, numbness, and tingling in both feet. It was difficult to focus on other things and these symptoms interfered with my ability to sleep. I was also experiencing pain, numbness, and tingling in both hands, but not to the extent as in my feet. The pain in my hands interfered with my ability to write and continues to be manifested in this way.
Prior to coming to Dr. Winget, I had seen numerous specialists. These include: a pulmonologist, a hematologist/oncologist, a rheumatologist, and a neurologist. I was on several medications and continue to be followed by a neurologist.
Since I have been seeing Dr. Winget, I have experienced 25% to 30% reduction in the pain in both feet. The pain remains constant, but is more bearable. I had my initial consultation with Dr. Winget on October 19, 2011.
To God be the glory! Elaine
Jean G. - My feet are much better
I had neuropathy – swelling, tingling, burning, and numbness in my feet. I have had these symptoms for about one year.
My neck is definitely better. I can turn it easier. My lower back is not as stiff. I sleep better. I don’t seem to have as much heartburn. My feet are much better. They don’t swell as much. I still have some numbness, but not as bad. It is a pleasure working with Dr. Winget.
Michelle G. - Within two months, I was feeling tremendously better
Growing up, I was a dancer. I danced for 13 years before I noticed the severe pain in my knees. It got so bad that I could barely walk up stairs, couldn’t kneel, and couldn’t exercise without pain. I ended up having two knee surgeries over the next year. Unfortunately, they didn’t solve the problem.
The pain increased and spread into my back, neck, and shoulders. The pain was so bad that simply touching my shoulders would make me cringe. I went to physical therapy for three years – no improvement. I tried acupuncture for 8 months – no improvement. My orthopedist finally sent me to a rheumatologist thinking it was something auto-immune. The doctor put me on heavy medications for patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis and even they didn’t touch the pain. She told me it was like I was a 23 year old in an 80 year olds body.
A friend who has been seeing Dr. Winget for years suggested I give chiropractic care a try. I was hesitant but was desperate. I was 23 years old and wanted to be able to exercise, wear high heels, kneel on the ground with my students, and dance with my friends.
So, I had an evaluation and started treatment. Within two months, I was feeling tremendously better. Now after 9 months, my back and neck pain is almost completely gone, and the treatment Dr. Winget has started on my knee s helping more than anything I’ve tried. Dr. Winget has been a true blessing to me, and I am so grateful to everyone at RSC for the support they have given me. I highly recommend chiropractic care to everyone, as I truly believe it can work miracles!

I came to see Dr. Winget after seeing an ad in the paper about his neuropathy treatment. I have diabetic neuropathy and foot pain. I have had it for several years now. The pain is a burning and throbbing pain accompanied by an ultra sensitive tingling in my toes and yet the ends of my toes feel somewhat numb. At times, the pain has been somewhat debilitating. The pain in my feet would keep me up at night.
I have seen three doctors so far to try to help my condition: my regular doctor, a foot specialist, and a neurologist. I have taken Cymbalta and Amitryptaline and I am currently taking Lyrica. None of the doctors have given me any hope that this problem could get better or become even manageable.
Under Dr. Winget’s care, my feet have improved by 100%! I don’t have nearly the pain that I had prior to the neuropathy treatments. This therapy has allowed me to walk better, and has really allowed me to do things I had not been able to do for quite some time. I am sleeping better and not being woken up every night with the pain. It has also helped reduce my stress because I am not in pain all the time. I have stopped taking Lyrica because I am doing so well! Not only is this the best way I’ve found to manage my neuropathy, but this has been a life changing experience for me!

I really did not have a problem when I first started. I grew up knowing chiropractors were the way to go for back help. So, when I moved to NC from MA, I knew I needed one. After going to a health fair I came in for an exam and have been coming ever since!
Since coming regularly, I rarely have back pain or headaches! It’s wonderful. I also went through all nine months of pregnancy under chiropractic care and boy did it help with labor! It made labor for child number two a total of about 12.5 hours compared to 47.5 hours with my first! I totally believe being adjusted helped with that.

I first saw Dr. Winget because I had neuropathy which left me with no feeling in both of my feet. I would have nerve reaction in my feet when sitting where the nerves would start firing and make some muscles in the bottom of my feet twitch, which would last 3-4 seconds. I had no sense of cold on my feet, and if I stepped on an object, it would give me a feeling of sharp pain. My foot doctor had prescribed Gabapentin and Metanix, which were not helping my neuropathy.
I have had 5 weeks of treatment at this point, and currently my feet have improved about 70%! I can actually feel the bottom of my feet when I walk. The pain and twitching have gone away. I am very satisfied with the results so far!

I attended a health fair from my job and met RSC staff there. I was not able to walk, sit, or stand long at a time. I was experiencing neck pain, left arm pain, but the worst was the middle back pain that radiated down my tail bone, around the hips into the groin area. I couldn’t bend over, walk up steps, and getting out of bed was becoming impossible. The pain was so excruciating at times, all I could do was cry and pop pills. I am a 3 year breast cancer survivor.
For the past year I have seen so many doctors, physical therapists, orthopedists, and have had water therapy, shots, injections, x-rays, MRIs that I can’t even count. I have taken so many meds to the point it messed up my stomach and had to stop but never had seen a chiropractor until now.
Dr. Winget and the entire staff at RSC have been a tremendous blessing in my life and words can’t express the thankfulness and gratitude, for truly I am not as handicapped or in pain all the time any more. I still have a long way to go but I thank God every day for his many blessings and sending RSC my way. I was almost crippled, was using a walker, cane, crutches, and took medicine all the time. It has used up all my time at work for being out. I had to have family members get me out of the car. I couldn’t go up and down steps and could not bend over, but look at me know! God is good!

The smartest move I have ever made was picking up the newspaper, reading your article about neuropathy, and calling the office. After two weeks of care, I am already having 50% improvement on my right foot. I have re-gained some feeling already, and can feel it when someone touches my foot now! I have learned more about health and nutrition in the two weeks that I’ve been coming to the office than I have in the last several years.

The main concern that brought me to Raleigh Specific Chiropractic was that I had Neuropathy in my feet and legs. When I relaxed at night the cramps were so bad at times that it was unbearable to the point that I would cry! It had made me very depressed, and I could not sleep. I also had no feeling in my feet and they were cold all the time. I had been on Cymbalta for my pain, which did not help that much.
Since I started my neuropathy treatments on my feet, I have seen at least 80-90% improvement. It has changed my life completely. I am now sleeping well again at night. I am much happier without pain and look forward to getting back on the golf course. I feel like I have two new feet!

The main health concern that brought me to Dr. Winget’s office was severe back pain. The pain would occur after lifting heavy objects, sitting at the computer, or driving for long periods of time. The pain, which was shooting pain from the center of my back, started to occur more frequently and take longer to subside after each episode.
Since being under Dr. Winget’s care, I no longer get the severe pain after lifting heavy objects or sitting at the computer or driving for long periods of time. When I do get minor back pain, it lasts for days instead of weeks. Also, the range of motion in my neck has greatly increased, which was a problem that I had since high school.

I had burning in my legs (neuropathy). It was not leg pain, just plain old burning .My doctor started me with some drugs at first, Lyrica, but this did not work. This drug made me somewhat dizzy at the time, and sleepy also. One change I see and feel already is less burning in my legs. My neck seems to be a little better than what it was when I first came here. I have been coming to the office for eight weeks and the burning is 65% better!

The main health concern I was experiencing that brought me to see Dr. Winget was neck and upper back pain that radiated down my left arm—it also created pain in my left shoulder. I couldn’t lift my arm above my head without excruciating pain, and it had been going on for over 1 year and was getting worse! These problems began affecting my daily activities and was making it difficult to sleep properly.
Prior to trying chiropractic not much had been done to try to treat the upper back, neck and arm pain. I was told it was arthritis and subsequently was prescribed muscle relaxers and arthritic medications. Unfortunately nothing I tried had much of an effect.
Since starting chiropractic care, I have noticed a tremendous difference in my pain levels and in my ability to function normally. Within 2 weeks of starting care I noticed a huge difference! After 6 months of care I am almost 100% pain free! It does occur a few times but not as severe as it was prior to beginning care. Now I am able to go back to the gym and I am able to pursue my hobbies again. I am able to lift my hand and arm above my head again with no pain, thanks to chiropractic!
Jerry G. - I would definitely recommend it to anyone with neuropathy!
The reason that I came to see Dr. Winget was that I had a loss of balance while walking and standing. Also, there was complete numbness (90% numb) in the toes and in the balls of my feet. It felt like I was walking on someone else’s feet. I was afraid that it was degenerating to the point that I would have to face loss of limb.
I went to another physician who ran electronic test called EMG on two separate occasions, and put me on a medication called Gabapentin for the last 2 years. Through all this, my feet got progressively worse.
I was afraid to ride my Harley, which I used to ride it at least once per week on day trips for 75-100 miles per trip or more. I could not ride my bicycle either. I stumbled a lot while walking, and started reaching out to grab onto things around me to steady myself. It was a great concern for me. During the posture check of my first exam, I could not stand with my eyes closed because I would fall over.
By the third Rebuilder treatment I had noticed the numbness regressing, first in the toes, then in the balls of my feet.
I am 90% confident now walking or riding my Harley and have planned a day ride for this weekend. I still have some numbness, but it is at least 50 – 60% improved after only 5 weeks of treatment. During my most recent examination, I could close my eyes and stand completely still during the posture check! I have more feeling and sensitivity in my feet and feel more confident in my balance. When we started, I honestly doubted that it would work because nothing has so far, but now I’m a believer in it. I am completely satisfied. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with neuropathy.
David G. - You are an Ironman!
I came to Dr. Winget with constant neck pain, and my back felt like someone was digging into it with each breath with a blunt object. I have had three vertebrae broken and numerous neck injuries, and told countless times that I would have to just live with the pain. I had a had a dream of being in the Ironman triathlon, but the pain I was in made that impossible.
I met Dr. Jill at a screening and decided to give chiropractic a try, despite what I had grown up hearing how it was not a legitimate profession. I quickly discovered how wrong that was. I began to turn my head with less pain, and started training for the Ironman. I was running for 2-3 hrs, biking for 5-6, and swimming countless laps, and stayed consistent with my weekly adjustments. Then one day I was able to hear "David, you are an Ironman!".
I know now that chiropractic helped me accomplish my dream, which otherwise would never have happened. I still continue to get adjusted because I know that to stay healthy and interference free, chiropractic is the answer. If you have a dream that your health is interfering with, give chiropractic a try, I did.
Kathy B. - Muscle Relaxers, Do Not Work as Well
What was your main health concern that brought you to our office?
Neck pain, numbness in my arm and lower back pain. I started seeing Dr Winget back in 1995 and was on a maintenace program when for one reason or another I stopped coming. BIG MISTAKE. My condition 5 years later was now worse then when I started back in 1995.
What type of previous care had you recieved for this condition?
I had taken over-the-counter pain relievers, and was treated for a pinched nerve and prescribed muscle relaxers. Thats when I came back to Dr. Winget.
Describe your results under Dr. Winget`s care.
I no longer have any numbness in my arm. The lower back pain has descreased and I no longer have the leg pain while standing on my feet for any period of time.
-Thank you Dr. Winget, I will never leave again!
(Kathy`s entire family is under care, and her twin children, who suffered from severe ear aches for many years, no longer have them, and some of the healthiest kids in their school)
Marilyn T. - Bronchial Asthma, High Blood Pressure, Severe Neck and Shoulder Pain
Two years ago I was diagnosed with bronchial asthma, high blood pressure, and was experiencing severe neck pain that radiated down to my shoulder. My doctor had me using Advair twice a day as an inhaler, and was also taking a blood pressure medicine. With the inhaler I got bronchitis about 3 times a year, and saw the doctor on a monthly basis. The inhaler and blood pressure medicine were in addition to the daily Advil for arthritis in my thumbs, nose sprays with steroids for my allergies, and Lipitor for my cholesterol. My cardiac doctor also administered regular stress tests for my heart monthly.
After 2 months of care with Dr. Winget, I am no longer using any inhalers (including Advair), taking any blood pressure medicine and the Lipitor is down to 1/2 a tablet twice a week! I feel better then I have in years, and have not needed to visit my doctor since I started care! I love that I am sleeping better, have more energy and even less stress with my care. Thanks Dr. Winget!
Beatrice A. - I was 1" Shorter and had Tingling in my Toes/Hand/Low Back
I initially sought out chiropractic because I had noticed that I had shrunk an inch in year! I was also experiencing some tingling in the fingers of my right hand, the toes of my right foot and some low back pain. A coworker of mine recommended me to her chiropractic and I tried him for 8 months, but the relationship did not go so well and I quit with a great distrust for chiropractors.
I finally decided to try chiropractic again and began my care with Dr. Winget. With his vitalistic and educational approach, I have gained my inch back, have no tingling, feel healthier then ever before, made some life changing and life saving decisions and had my trust restored in chiropractic. No colds or really being sick at all has been a big plus too!
Cheryl Y. - Hyperthyroidism, Low Back and Neck Pain
I originally decided to see a chiropractor about the ache in my low back and my stiff neck. They had been bothering me for years, and I dealt with it by taking OTC medication. I had also been taking 5mg of medication since 2002 when I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism.
I had never seen a doctor about my back and neck pain, but under Dr. Winget`s care the stiffness in my neck is gone along with the achiness in my back. I am now able to do household chores or field work in my profession without pain! I still see an endocrinologist about my hyperthyroidism, but since I started chiropractic care, my medication has gone from 5mg to 2.5mg.
Fay D. - Achy Legs and Feet, Low Back Pain and TMJ
For several years I have had leg and feet aches, compounded with some low back pain. Sometimes my feet ache so much that I was barely able to walk when I first got up. I never saw a doctor about my low back pain, but I did see a podiatrist a couple of years ago so I was taking up to 800mg of Motrin a day. I continued this untill I developed an allergy to it.
On my intial exam I saw my X-rays and was shown my exam results and surprised by how much my center of gravity was shifted so I was carrying a lot more weight on one side then the other. Under care I am now having less pain and have noticed less problems with my TMJ as well.
Thanks for the personal & friendly care I recieve at this office.
Lemuel T. -Headaches, Neck Pain and Posture Problems
I had a major headache everyday, and so I dealt with them by trying to ignore them and just living with the pain. The neck pain I was suffering with I dealt with in the same manor and I was hardly aware of my posture problems. I never took any over the counter medication for the pain, I simply ignored the pain.
When I started care with Dr. Winget I was hoping for the headaches to be taken care of. So you can imagine how surprised I was when all the pain I had in my body was gone and when I noticed my posture was getting better. I now sleep sounder, have more energy, feel 300% healthier, and I hardly get sick anymore. If I do get sick it is gone within 24 hours, which is great!!
-Many Thanks to Dr. Winget and Staff!!
John H - giving me hope and renewed happiness
I stared out feeling tingling in my feet, and then some numbness started. Not too long after that, weakness in my legs and hands and arms. My neuropathy doctor prescribed Gapapentin for me and told me that the symptoms would increase over time. I was very disheartened about the whole situation. Every day I was getting worse. Even keeping an eye on my blood sugar numbers I was still having progression in my symptoms.
My biggest concerns were whether I would still be able to work and exercise as time went on. When I heard about the Rebuilder from Dr Winget, I was eager to get started. I had ran out of other options. After about the first three sessions, I started to feel more strength in my legs, and some of the pain was gone. A ray of hope appeared in me again! I am now half way through my sessions with hopes of getting a home unit.
The Rebuilder has allowed me to continue to work and exercise. Hopefully in a few more months I will be able to increase my exercise. I thank Dr. Winget and his wonderful staff in giving me hope and renewed happiness. I prayerfully hope the Rebuilder continues to heal my condition. Thank God for Dr. Winget.
God bless you, John H
