Camden C. - I cannot express how incredible this process has been
Since 2019 I have experienced seemingly random bouts of nearly every neuropathic sensation one can in the pelvic and lower back: burning, stinging, tingling, numbness, even itchiness. You name it. I’ve been to countless doctors, specialists, physical and psychotherapists, and none were able to offer a definite diagnosis or sufficient solution for my symptoms. Fast forward to early 2022; after being introduced to power lifting, I recognized an increase in tension in my lower and upper back that would subsist regardless of rest or intervention. Naturally, I searched around for a chiropractor and Raleigh Specific Chiropractic was the highest reviewed nearby. I set up an appointment for their free consultation and expected a quick adjustment thereafter. I was wrong, and I’m glad I was.
On the day of my first appointment, I was greeted by the lovely staff up front with smiles and purpose. I was scanned, examined, and evaluated in no time by Dr. Jill Winget, who patiently listened when I explained all that I had been through over the years from my adolescent athletic years to weightlifting and working on a computer all day. She gave me hope that not only the symptoms I had chalked up to working out, but also the previous from years before may be caused by subluxations of my lower spine. My follow up discussion with Dr. James Winget is what made all the difference, however. He and I sat down and discussed every symptom I was having, from numbness in my left hand and losing visual focus to that of intense shocks and burning sensations. “We can get you better,” he said assuredly. Of course, he couldn’t be certain all my symptoms would be cured, but he at least offered the potential of it happening. That potential meant everything. Only four months have passed since that day, and one might say it’s been miraculous to see the improvements thus far. Here are just a few:
- I have levels of energy unmatched since a decade prior
- My overall mental state has improved with decrease in irritability and forgetfulness, as well as
- an increase in attention, focus, and general sense of well-being
- Symptomatic events have been reduced to nearly zero in the past 2-3 months
- I have no difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep
- I am no longer medicated for ADHD
I cannot express how incredible this process has been and cannot thank Dr. Winget, Dr. Jill, Dr. Workman, Kirsten, Sam, and Taylor enough for the life they’ve given back through their work, and I hope you’ll give them a chance as well.
